How normalization works: the overall score is earned points ÷ available points × 100. When a dimension cannot be scored because the necessary CRM field or target is missing, it is marked Not Scored and removed from the denominator. The score never silently treats missing information as healthy.

Pressure-test it with known problems.

The downloadable test file includes stale opportunities, missing next steps, a late-stage deal without economic-buyer evidence, repeated close-date slippage and an oversized deal. Upload it below and compare the inspection queue with those planted issues.

Run your own CSV.

If target is blank, Pipeline Sufficiency is Not Scored. Closed Won/Lost history in the same CSV is used to estimate historical win rate and sales-cycle behavior.

Recommended fields

Opportunity Name, Amount, Stage, Created Date, Close Date, Probability, Owner, Last Meaningful Activity, Next Step, Next Step Date, Slip Count, Economic Buyer, Champion, Business Pain and Decision Process.

At minimum include Opportunity Name, Amount, Stage and Close Date. Missing optional fields are reported as limitations.

What the scorecard does not do.

It does not declare a deal dead from CRM data alone. It flags evidence gaps so a manager can inspect the customer reality. The operating question remains: How do you know?

Scoring is diagnostic, not predictive. It is intended to make pipeline inspection more consistent, not to replace manager judgment.
